I Finally Got Skinny!

Yay, I finally got skinny!!!

Ooops! Before all of you raise your brows, or before anyone of you give those questioning looks, I am gonna make my statement clear this early on - am definitely not referring to my body (although, I really hope so!). Hahahhaa....

So what am I really talking about?! It is my new wallet from Big Skinny Philippines!

After having a lot of thinking and considerations ( mainly, financial), I have finally decided to give in to my heart's desire! The fact that my newly unboxed wallet turned out to be peeling already due to long storage also helped me in coming up with this decision (parang ang bigat lang ng kailangang pagdesisyunan! lol). I GUESS this was also a sign for me to finally try the Big Skinny wallet (Yes, lusot!)

So, I head on to check out the available designs from Big Skinny Philippines website and to my surprise, they are on sale! What a really nice timing! :)

After browsing through their site, I finally decided on this product - the Executive Graphite Cobble (EGC). I really like its unique yet simple print. I love the color too! Go, check out for yourself!

Checking out is very easy too as they also offer cash on delivery option, so there's no need to worry if you do not have any credit card or paypal account. Delivery is very fast too! Just two days after my I post my order, it was already delivered on our doorstep! Ambilis!

Big Skinny wallets are made of Nylon Microfiber which is 10X thinner and lighter compared to leather, thus, ensuring that you will no longer have to worry about having bulky wallets from now on. The extra wide, non-slipped coated pockets can hold 3 to 5 cards each enabling it to accommodate around 30-40 plastic cards. Dirt is not a problem too as this wallet is tough enough to be machine washed!

From its original price of P2,250.00, I got the EGC for only P1,750.00. That's P500.00 off! Definitely a great deal!

That is why it is no wonder that she’s an epitome of a doting human being that touches everybody’s life. So, given all her loving contributions in our life, it’s just but right to honor and return to her all the favors that she has done for us. In one of my previous post, I have already confessed that I am an addict - a shoe addict, that is. :D

But hey, my addiction doesn't just end there! I've got one more addiction which I cannot cure - BAGS, BAGS, BAGS and more BAGS!

It started as early as when I am still in grade school. Whenever a bag caught my attention, I know I must really have that bag, no matter what! :D

My fascination for bags continued even during my college days. And this even heightened when I was already working as I then have the purchasing power to buy every bag that my heart desires! Hahaha!!!

My addiction only lessened (this is the keyword - lessened only, not totally lost!) when I already became a mother. Change of priority, as they say.

But now that my two daughters are no toddlers anymore, I'm back on my addiction! And I guess, I leveled up even more as now, I likewise have my two princesses to influence! :D Their into bags too! Now, I have two shopping buddies! :) Now, I feel less guilty whenever I do purchase a bag since I know that this can be of future use by my daughters too! ( sige, push pa! Justify pa more!) :)

But, what do I really look for in a bag?

My first consideration is the size. I want to stash everything in just one bag!

My 2nd consideration is quality and durability. The bag must be durable enough to carry all my things.

Next will be the price. It must really be affordable so as not to hurt the pocket. As a mom, I really need to keep everything within the budget.

My last (but definitely not the least) consideration is the design. It must compliment my wardrobe and must fit the occasion I am going to. I do keep bags which goes well in formal events, and hip, trendy and more casual bags that are perfect for those out of town trips or even to a simple trip to the mall.

My Nail-a-holics Experience

Those who have read my previous posts already knew that getting a pedicure is one of my way of pampering myself. But sadly, I wasn't able to have my pedi done for more than a month already since I was really busy the past few weeks. Thankfully, last Wednesday, I got the chance to visit Nail-a-holics! It was actually my first time to visit this salon although I have been hearing a lot about this chic place.

It was around past lunch time when I entered Nail-a-holics. I was the sole customer during that time. Lucky me, I have the whole salon for myself! lol!

Upon entering the salon, you can already feel your body relaxing as the mood inside is really very soothing and comforting. Oh, I really love their theme! The different shades of blue, green, and white really captures the colors of the ocean!

Initially, I only intended to have a pedicure but then I decided to have my brows fixed too!

In order to maximize my time at the salon, two attendants were simultaneously giving me the services that I availed.

Palm Beach Pedicure (P 230.00)

I availed the Palm Beach Pedicure. And as per their description, this service includes nail shaping, cuticle treatment and polish, with an anti-bacterial foot soak and a restorative mini foot massage.

First, they soaked my feet for more or less ten minutes. While waiting, they asked me to choose the polish that I want to be applied. As earlier advised, there was an additional charge of P50.00 for their branded polishes. It was only later on that I have learned that they also have regular polishes available for free, though, there are really not much color options available.

And so my pampering begins...

In fairness, the attendant did gave my nails justice. Look at my pretty feet! Definitely ready for a lot more walking and strutting! :)

Now, I have another option whenever I'll be needing some pampering again. But then again, if I have the luxury of time, I will still prefer to have my nails done in the local salon in our place since they are already familiar with my nails. Gustong- gusto ko kasi yung binubutingting ang kuko ko! I want my ingrown removed, which most of the salons inside the malls do not offer.

Eyebrow Threading ( P 190.00)

I am really lazy person when it comes to taking care of my face, and my brows are definitely not an exception! I find it hard to maintain the shape of brows that is why I just rely on the services offered in salons - threading or waxing, I'm all for it! :)

Another reason why the services were simultaneously given to me was because they do not have a bed where customers availing their threading and waxing services can lie to, though I am not really a hundred percent sure about this. There might be one available inside the other room where the staffs were staying. But then again, they should have let me use that if indeed one is available. :)

For my brows, first thing that was done was to put powder on my brows and the surface surrounding it. And then afterwards, the staff already started threading my brows. I can say that she really had a hard time doing so because of our position. It is really not conducive for the service. But in fairness to the attendant, she really tried her best to make me comfortable.

And tadah! here is the finished product! : ) My brows are now again unruly no more! hehe

If you will be asking me if I will still go back to this salon for my brow threading, my answer would be NO because I really noticed and felt that they are still not much ready for this kind of service, maybe because this branch have just opened recently. I really hope that there will be a lot more improvement the next time that I visit them.

During the duration of my stay in the salon, there was only one customer who went inside, who also left afterwards. The customer is a student. But upon learning that she still has to cash out an additional P50 for the polish, and after checking the available free regular polishes, she just decided to left together with her boyfriend! Sayang! But seriously, the management should deal with this scenario, asap.I think it is still best to offer regular polishes as their salon is mostly attracting students, which mostly has budget concerns

Overall, I had a satisfying experience at Nail-a-holics. One of the staffs even offered to take my photo! Yay! Thanks! :)

These are the usual scenarios in our house even though it was just three months after the school year started. This really causes me headache everytime. And I am sure that I am not alone in this dilemma. :)

So, it is for this very reason that I pick up the habit of socks-hoarding! Hahaha! Whenever I see socks on sale, I always hoard! Lol

And this is exactly what happened again last Tuesday. I went to the SM Department Store, saw the socks on sale, and walah - to the counter I hit again! But hey, who wouldn't want to take advantage of this sale? These Burlington socks were nitially priced at P189.00, now they are offering it at P100.00! Almost half the price! Great buy, right?!

And I have yet another good news for all you my dear readers as from July 1 to 10, 2016, I have heard that almost all the SM Malls will be having an #EndofSeasonSale, so you better check out the nearest SM Malls near you. And it is for this reason why I immediately grab the chance to experience the services being offered by Skin House Beauty and Laser Clinic when I was invited to their Bloggers Event last December 11, 2014 at their Pioneer branch in Mandaluyong City for the introduction of their Gentlemax Pro treatment.

Afterwards, we were given the chance to tour around and check every rooms and the equipments inside.

The clinic is really very neat and clean. The overall design evokes both simplicity and elegance. You will immediately feel relaxed and comfortable once inside each and every room. And the high end machines really gives you the assurance that your skin is always in good hands with Skin House!

As perks, we, bloggers were given the option to try two of these services - facial toning, hair removal, both using the Gentlemax Pro machine and the Venus Freeze treatment. I opted to try their facial toning treatment first. I was hoping to also try Venus Freeze but for lack of material time as it was already late, I only settled for facial toning.

I was one of the last two bloggers who availed of the treatment.

First, my face was cleanse to remove the dirt.

Then, Ms. Trisha drew some lines creating three divisions on my face.

And then, for safety purposes, we both wore eye gears for protection.

And the treatment finally began. Ms. Trisha did the treatment by sections. And although she was really careful in doing the procedure, that didn't prevented me from getting hurt from the burnt sensation caused by the procedure. The machine has to reach a certain temperature (I think it was 40 degrees) for every section of the face. As what Ms. Trisha jokingly told me, "tiis-ganda talaga"!

Then Ms. Trisha applied something on my face to somehow ease the pain.

Right after the treatment, aside from some redness, I already felt my skin tightened a little bit. I just hope I can have the time to go back again to their clinic to further enhance and improve my skin condition. Busy momma here! :)

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Skin House Beauty and Laser Clinic. But aside from the warm and personalized service, what I also like about Skin House is their after-sales customer service. A day after my treatment, I received a text message asking me of my condition and how my treatment was affecting me so far. This just really shows that they really do care about their customers, where everyone is treated almost like a family.
